Rob Boogaard
President & CEO for Interface Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Interface is a publicly traded company (Nasdaq Global Select Market: TILE) employing more than 3,500 people and operating in more than 110 countries worldwide. With a 35% share of the market globally, Interface is a worldwide leader in the design, production and sale of environmentally- and socially responsible modular carpet. Every day, Interface associates work with architects and designers on prestigious offices, hotels and educational facilities around the world. The company is widely acknowledged as a leader in corporate sustainability. Few, if any, companies have embraced sustainability longer, or accomplished more.

As President & CEO, Rob is responsible for setting and leading the growth strategy for Interface throughout the EMEA region. He is an ambassador for corporate responsibility and sustainability, carrying on the Interface vision to become the first sustainable and then restorative company in the world (“Mission Zero”). To date, Interface EMEA has reduced its carbon footprint by 90% since 1996. Rob is a member of the Prince of Wales’ EU Corporate Leaders Group. He has represented the Interface approach and business case for radical sustainability across Europe, with presentations to the European Commission, Parliament, and various European political leaders.

Prior to joining Interface, Rob was the Director of Global Strategy, Marketing and Commercial Services at Norit X-Flow (since acquired by Pentair). The company produces membrane filtration technology for various municipal and industrial water applications. Rob played an integral role in guiding the company through a period of rapid growth in both sales and manufacturing capacity, ultimately positioning it as a leader in its field culminating to being selected “Water Technology Company of the Year” by Global Water Intelligence in April 2011.

A native of the Netherlands, Rob previously spent 18 years working and living abroad. He started his career in the United States, where he joined Steelcase Inc., a global leader in the office furniture industry. Rob later moved to France, to work at the company’s European headquarters, before returning to the U.S. There he became a leader of a Steelcase startup company that develops and manufactures interactive communications technologies, later enhanced with an technology company acquisition for which he set up the global sales and marketing division.

Rob and his wife, Melissa, have three children. In his spare time, he enjoys attending his children’s sports games. He also has a passion for music and loves to organize concerts and festivals. Rob is a founding Board Member of the How Far Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. This non-profit humanitarian aid agency provides education, combats starvation and malnutrition, and prevents suffering from water-related diseases by providing sources of clean drinking water in East Africa.

Ramon Arratia
Ramon is European Sustainability Director for Interface. He provides direction and leadership in the area of sustainability. In addition to guiding Interface’s sustainability strategy towards Mission Zero, he reviews all products and business processes to ensure they are as sustainable as possible.

Laura Cremer
Laura is Internal Communications and Sustainability Manager for Interface in Europe. She manages internal communications throughout the European business relating to Mission Zero and is also an instrumental part of Interface’s FastForward to 2020 programme. This provides training to the company’s employees to ensure that they grasp the concept of sustainability and have the skills and opportunities to help Interface to achieve Mission Zero.

Laure Rondeau Desroches is External Sustainability Manager EMEAI for Interface. Her mission is to deliver the Interface thought-leadership strategy - maintaining open channels of communication to ensure the Interface sustainability message is carried out.

Since 2004, she’s been experiencing what true sustainability is through every dimension of the company : planet, people, profit, process and places. During these 9 past years, she’s been able to integrate, developp and participate to this strategy, reaffirming it a bit deeper it in the company DNA and in her collaborators’culture. Passionate about sustainability, she gives the impulsion and the communication guidelines in line with the global strategy, to involve, give responsabilities and train all the company stakeholders.
